Avian Aid Application

Avian Aid

MAARS established Avian Aid with funding from a grant to help families facing temporary financial hardship or an emergency that could otherwise lead to the surrender of their parrot. Depending on the circumstances and available funding, assistance may help with veterinary care, food, or another immediate need affecting a bird’s health and well-being.

The goal is not to permanently support the care of a parrot in a home where their needs cannot be met. Avian Aid is intended to provide a bridge through a temporary crisis, giving families time to regain stability while helping parrots remain in homes where they are safe, cared for, and wanted.

If you are experiencing a temporary hardship or emergency and need assistance caring for your parrot, please complete the application below. Please provide as much information as possible so MAARS can review your request and determine whether assistance is available.
