Silly & Stubbie
Little makes us happier than when the birds choose their own friends.
Silly’s previous mate died several years ago, and while she has had a few suitors pursue her since then, she wasn’t interested in a long-term relationship with them. When Stubbie joined the flock, he quickly fell for Silly, and it seems she has fallen for him as well.
As one of the sanctuary’s oldest cockatiels, Silly didn’t venture out of her enclosure as much as she did when she was younger. Stubbie is a natural explorer, and when they bonded, he helped Silly to become more confident and active again, gently encouraging her to try new things. Stubbie has gained a devoted mate to snuggle with and join him in his adventures, and Silly has become more outgoing and active like she’s ten years younger. This adorable pair brings out the best in each other as they explore the cockatiel room together.
Stubby & Silly are cockatiels, small parrots whose costs for food, medicine, and toys are approx. $20/month or $240 per year (each). If you would like to contribute to Stubby & Silly’s health and well-being, please click above. Thank You!
