Ernie joined MAARS several years ago with Cookie as a potential buddy. Ernie has a special diet in hopes of helping some of his heart issues. Cookie and Ernie enjoy their independent time away from the main flock. They have many phrases they have learned over the years, and many are in Spanish. These two have taught our volunteers to be patient and allow them to be who they are; we do not force them to interact with the rest of the flock or with most volunteers.

Cookie and Ernie are Double Yellow-Headed Amazons, medium-sized parrots whose costs for food, toys, and medicine are $40/month or $480/year each. If you would like to help with their care, please donate. Any amount helps. Thank you.
