2015 Update and Holiday Greeting
Greetings –
On behalf of the Board of Directors, Senior Staff, and volunteers, we want to thank those who have contributed to our success in the last year. Year-end is a time for all of us to be thankful, not only for the truly amazing generosity and support from each of you, but for the flock who brought all of us together. Many of us are lucky enough to know and care for each member of the flock on a weekly or even daily basis and I cannot convey how meaningful these relationships are.
We have undertaken many new projects this year including: finishing the flooring project in the front half of our building, more murals in our bird rooms, and expanded and upgraded play areas to enrich and enhance their lives. We also have expanded our educational outreach within our community, including classes for the Girl Scouts and a class for adults with learning disabilities, both of which were very successful and help promote awareness of the plight of captive parrots. As we continue to grow and expand in 2016 we hope to continue to make improvements to our building. A few of our plans include new windows for all the bird rooms, resurfacing of the floors in the back-half of our building and continuing expansion of our education programs.
We are all inspired by the consistent outpouring of support, generosity, and dedication to MAARS and our flock. Whether it’s through financial assistance or contributions of time, our supporters are truly the foundation that ensures MAARS has the strength to continue its mission.
With deepest gratitude & wishes for all the best in 2016,
Galiena Cimperman
